Caricaturing across the World?

June 27th, 2008

I’ve been shuffling through the channels for roughly about over an hour now. There’s certainly nothing on TV! I guess not having cable has something to do with that, but I have a feeling it wouldn’t be much better. I haven’t sat down and watched Television in awhile and it’s kind of weird. It’s like I’ve been away from the World and now coming back to it I’m a bit confused and gladly out of touch.

Speaking of the World, something I’ve been randomly talking about with friends and coworkers lately is how I would love to travel. I don’t know how I could travel considering our crazy economy and my somewhat empty pocket book, but that made me think about creative ways to go about doing it. One idea was to start doing more freelance online and then just traveling, doing my work wherever I go. That’s probably my best bet, but the other idea was me traveling doing caricatures and living off that money. I thought that would be extremely awesome! I’d travel around the world and back doing caricatures all over! I also was thinking of documenting it while I did it and maybe later publishing a book?

It’s probably not best for me to publish this on the internet, but what am I to do on a Friday night with nothing but a dirty house to clean and boring Television to watch? It excites me to talk about stuff like this. I do have quite a full plate this summer for some artwork and stuff that I need to take care of, so maybe after that I’ll really evaluate that option.

In other news, last night I went to go see NoMathmatics DJ live at a place called Madrigals located behind the Kansas City Star. Talk about “sweaty wet,” I had quite a work out. I look forward to doing a music video for NoMathmatics soon! They put on a great show. I did meet Kenn, from the Republic Tigers, and found out he loves video games. He chatted about how I should come over and rock out some Xbox 360 with him. It’ll be fun to do something like that with a local celeb! HA! Sounds like a potential Bernstein comic.

Well keep it real out there, whomever is watching/reading. Don’t be too lazy, and make sure you finish your work.

My computer is broken…

May 7th, 2008

Unfortunately my computer is broken! I haven’t been able to update recently considering my computer no longer has power. I hope you can forgive me! I just have to wait for my next paycheck and we’ll be back and in running order. In the meantime I’ll try and sneak in updating at work. It’s hard considering they just recently put up a firewall that prevents me from logging on to my FTP site. SHIM SHAM SHAME!

In other news my animation got accepted and shown on Channel Frederator!

It also has been linked on VGCats, Joystiq, CollegeHumor and has over 90k views on Youtube! Hazzah!

Square-Enix Competition on Deviant Art

April 22nd, 2008

I did this character design for a Square-Enix competition on Deviant Art. It came out pretty cool, although I think I lost some of the character when I inked and colored it. I like the sketches a lot better. The girl character was actually created by Jen, but I translated her to my own style. Pretty sweet tag-team action! WOOT!
